Are House of Hearts Mahjong mats made to order?
Yes! Each mat is made to order especially for you. I don’t keep a large inventory of finished mats sitting on a shelf. Once you place your order, your mat is printed locally in Georgia and prepared just for you.
Because each mat is individually printed, please allow up to 3 weeks for printing and delivery.

Where are the Mahjong mats made?
Your mat is printed locally in Georgia on vegan leatherette using high-quality printing designed to bring the colors and details of my original artwork to life. Keeping these mats made locally is important to me. I love knowing that when you order from House of Hearts, you’re supporting a small business and local production.
Where do the designs come from?
Every Mahjong mat begins with my original artwork. On each mat posting I share an image of the original artwork. The artwork is available as a gallery wrapped print on another tab on the website. I love taking artwork that was created for the wall and giving it a new life around your Mahjong table. So, while you’re playing, you’re also living with a little piece of House of Hearts art.
What are the mats made from?
The mats are printed on a flexible leatherette with a subtle leather-like texture.
They’re lightweight and slim, with a smooth playing surface that allows your tiles to glide easily. The material is also waterproof and wipeable, making it practical enough for everyday play while still looking beautiful on your table.
What size are the mats?
House of Hearts Mahjong mats measure approximately:
33" x 33" full table and 20" x 20" travel
Because the mats are printed on a flexible material, there may be slight variations in size during the printing and production process. Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly from mat to mat.
Will my mat look exactly like the photos online?
The images on the website are digital images created from my original artwork files.
Because colors can appear differently from screen to screen, and the artwork is being printed onto a textured material, there may be slight variations in color, tone, or detail between the image you see online and your finished mat. These subtle differences are a natural part of the printing process and are not considered defects.
How will my mat be packaged?
Your mat will be gently rolled for shipping and carefully packaged to protect it during its journey to you. I hand package each mat. Because it is rolled for shipping, your mat may have some gentle curves when you first open it. Simply unroll it and allow it to rest flat before playing.
Why isn't my mat completely flat when it first arrives?
This is completely normal! Your mat is rolled for shipping, so it may have a slight curve when you first take it out of the package. Simply unroll it and let it rest flat before your first game. The gentle curves will naturally relax with time.
How do I care for my Mahjong mat?
These mats are made for everyday play and are easy to care for.

When storing your mat, gently roll rather than fold it to help prevent creases. Roll artwork out to keep the fabric's memory in tact.
Are the mats waterproof?
Yes! The leatherette has a waterproof, wipeable surface, making it easy to clean up everyday spills.
How should I store my mat?
When you’re finished playing, simply gently roll your mat and store it somewhere dry.
Avoid folding the mat, as repeated or prolonged folding can create creases in the material.
Do you retire designs?
I love creating new artwork and new designs, so the collection will continue to evolve. Some designs may eventually be retired to make room for something new.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because each mat is made to order and may go into production soon after your order is placed, I cannot guarantee cancellations or changes once production has begun. Please double-check your design, quantity, shipping address, and other order details before completing your purchase.
Can I return or exchange my mat?
Because each mat is made to order, all sales are final once your order has shipped.
I’m unable to accept returns or exchanges unless your mat arrives damaged or defective.

What if my mat arrives damaged or defective?
Oh no! If there is a problem with your mat when it arrives, please contact me as soon as possible.
Please include photos of the mat and its packaging so I can see what happened and work with you to make it right. I want you happy with your mat purchase.

While I love collaborating with other small businesses, artists, Mahjong groups, and people who genuinely love what I’m making, at this time I am not offering any affiliate programs or wholesale accounts.
